Today’s post is about how to spend limited resources in a logical and efficient manner.

A resource is considered limited if it can not b acquired at will via active farming, and instead requires either a real world time wait, or a real world money input.

The following are examples of limited resources:

The following may be limited if your account is not progressed to the point you can farm them actively, or if you simply do not have the time or availability to do so:

Note: This post wants to outline “the rules” for spending these items, but rules are sometimes meant to be broken. At risk of repeating myself: GBF is a game, and it’s meant to be played to have fun. Consider this post as best practices, and not gospel. You can only really break the rules if you know them, right?

Opportunity Cost

When discussing limited resource spending, it’s worth to remember the concept of opportunity cost. This term refers to the cost of not being able to spend an item on something else.

Should a “Weapon B” come along you also want, you’ve spent the bricks on Weapon A already. In this case, uncapping Weapon A not only cost you 3 bricks, but also the opportunity cost of uncapping Weapon B.

By uncapping Weapon A, you have spent the opportunity of uncapping Weapon B. This is the opportunity cost.

Opportunity cost will come up often in the following sections.
