Did you know that you can receive host and gold chests if you start a raid and don't do anything?

If you're unable or unwilling to play a raid, it may still be possible to receive drops from it by doing what players call "voluntary abandonment". As long as you're the host, you'll always receive the baseline loot, even if you take zero actions.

Note that doing this will never let you receive blue chests, so it's not an efficient way to do things in the slightest, but it can be good for raids you only need a few materials from.

Game Tips: How to ACTUALLY Farm Weapons

This in particular is useful for Dark Rapture (Hard) or Beelzebub these days, which will often clear just fine with pubs thanks to recent nerfs. There really is no excuse to not have your Dark Opera at 5* by now.

Please be aware that whether a raid clears at all when doing this is essentially random. You should only do this if you are absolutely sure you can't contribute or are uncomfortable trying to do so. It's always best to try and play, even if you end up getting carried.

Lastly, when doing this, please be reasonable towards your fellow players and tag your raid accordingly with 自発放置 (lit. “Voluntary Abandonment”) when sending the backup request**.**
