In the March 2025 Anniversary Update, Artifacts were added to Granblue Fantasy. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
Regardless of people’s thoughts on them, the system exists in the game’s live state and is an avenue for power therein. While ignoring it is technically possible, in a game often about edging out the last few percentage points in a setup, it’s not exactly a great idea.
The problem is simple though:

We don’t have enough fucking space for these.
If you’re not a GBF player (how did you stumble onto this?) or just live under a rock, let me give you a crash course.

Each Artifact is assigned to an Element and weapon Group (Earth / Sabre in the above case). As for what it does, each one contains 4 skills, picked from:
Additionally, Line I and II skills have 5 possible “rolls” associated with them, as in an RNG range on which the value of the skill can vary. The “Score” table is a mostly-uselesss digest of how well you rolled.
Because of the sheer combinatorial explosion of possibilities, and the limited space to store them in, inventory management quickly becomes an absolute mess.
This has led to me creating the Artifact Sorter tool, which helps you better visualize and compare them within a browser. The full details of this tool and its functionality are not the central point of the article though.
Within the Artifact Sorter’s Experimental section (which must be first enabled in Settings), you can find a tool called the Scrap Wizard. This is my attempt at developing an algorithm that can, given a set of owned artifacts, automatically determine which should be kept or not.

The underlying principle behind the Scrap Wizard (”the Wizard”) algorithm is based on how I personally like to manually sort my artifacts:
